Allentown to Myrtle Beach Flight Guide: Who Flies It and What the Status Words Mean

TrackMyWings Team8 min read

ABE to MYR is Lehigh Valley International in Allentown to Myrtle Beach International in Myrtle Beach, 834 km great-circle, about 518 miles. One carrier appears on the pair in our route data, Allegiant Air. There is no weekly timetable here, because the dates a beach route operates move with the season and our data does not carry them. This guide covers where to look for the day's schedule, how to read a status board at either end, and why a route with one airline on it behaves differently when something slips.

Who flies ABE to MYR

One airline appears on ABE to MYR and on the return, MYR to ABE, in the route data behind our directory pages: Allegiant Air, IATA code G4. No second carrier is listed on the pair in either direction, and the ABE to MYR route page shows the same thing.

Read that as a snapshot rather than a schedule. Our route data lists routes present in the dataset the site ships with, not flights operated this week. The carrier's own site is the authority for the dates you are flying.

The single-carrier part matters more than it looks. Where four airlines fly the same city pair, a cancellation usually leaves several later departures the same day to be moved onto. On a pair like this one, the next departure may be the next operating day, which changes what a delay costs you and what the person meeting you should do about it.

How far is Allentown to Myrtle Beach

The distance is 834 km, about 518 miles. That is a great circle, the straight line between the two airports, and it agrees to within a kilometre with the great circle computed from the coordinates in the same airport dataset.

The aircraft flies further than that. Departure and arrival procedures, published airways and a deviation around a summer thunderstorm all add track miles. That is also why there is no flight time on this page: a block time comes from the airline's schedule, not from dividing a great circle by a cruise speed, and a number produced that way would look authoritative while being made up.

Checking the ABE to MYR schedule on the day

Start with the operating carrier. Allegiant's own schedule pages are where the operating days for a given season are published, and they are also where a delay or a cancellation is filed first. Both airports publish their own day-of information for anyone already in the terminal.

Our pages are a different kind of document. The ABE to MYR route page and the ABE airport page carry the route pair and the operating carrier from the dataset the site ships with.

We do not publish a weekly departure count for this route or its months of operation, because the route data we ship carries neither, and a number we cannot stand behind is worse than no number on a route where the answer plausibly changes between March and October.

What the status words mean before you leave

Boards use a small vocabulary, and the words mean specific things.

StatusWhat it tells youWhat to do about it
ScheduledThe published time, nothing observed yetNormal until the estimated time appears
EstimatedA revised time, usually from the airlineThis is the number to plan the drive around
DepartedOff the gateWatch for the revised arrival, not the scheduled one
In airAirborne on the legArrival time firms up from here
LandedOn the ground at the destinationAdd the taxi in, then the walk to the kerb
DivertedWent somewhere other than the destinationStop watching the board and call the airline

Scheduled sitting on the board long after the aircraft was due to push back usually means nobody has filed an update yet. That is the point to go back to the airline, where a delay is filed first, instead of watching the arrivals hall you are standing in.

If you are meeting the flight at Myrtle Beach, watch the estimated arrival, add the taxi in, and leave on that. Landed is not the same as out of the terminal.

How a short domestic hop like this gets tracked

Aircraft broadcast their position, and on a community network the receivers that pick that broadcast up sit on the ground. Where a lot of people run receivers, near populated areas, the picture is dense. Over open water there is nothing underneath to hear the broadcast, so the picture thins out and then stops.

A 518 mile run down the east coast never leaves land, which puts it among the straightforward ones to follow. A flight across the middle of an ocean is a harder problem, and that is a fact about where receivers can be installed rather than about any particular app.

Where TrackMyWings™ fits

TrackMyWings is a flight tracking platform in development. A private beta shipped on 2026-08-24, Android only, on the Play internal testing track. Public launch has no fixed date.

The route, airport and airline pages linked through this guide are live on the site now. Planned for the app are a live map, gate and status alerts, and a shared view for family, aimed at the person doing the airport run as much as the one flying.

If ABE to MYR is not running on your dates

Frequently asked questions

Who flies from Allentown to Myrtle Beach? Allegiant Air, code G4, is the only carrier on ABE to MYR in our route data, in both directions. Check the airline's own schedule for the dates you want.

How long is the ABE to MYR flight? We publish the distance, 834 km great-circle or about 518 miles, and not a scheduled duration. Block times come from the airline's timetable and vary with the aircraft, the season and the routing.

How do I check ABE to MYR flight status? Allegiant's own schedule and status pages cover the flight you are booked on, and both airports publish day-of information for the terminal. Once the day is under way, read the estimated time rather than the scheduled one.

Is ABE to MYR a year-round route? Our route data does not carry months of operation, so we do not state that either way. The carrier's schedule page answers it for the dates you are looking at.
